Cold Softball Night

As I approached the fields, the manager from the other team said, "take it easy on us tonight." I answered that the girls were the key. Again, they started off slow. Nothing until later in the game. The last girl on our line-up got on base. Heather batting lefty hits it to 3rd and the defense tries to throw out the lead runner but misses and the center fielder chases the ball. So Heather ends up catching up to the lead runner at the plate and they both scored. What a way to get a homer, huh? The girls ended up winning 4-1. Heather went 2 for 3 with an RBI.

The other team threw a mini birthday party with some pizza, cake and drinks for one of the players. The birthday girl saw me an brought over a couple of slices of pizza. Her team emptied or so it seemed, a can of shaving cream all over her.
