U.S Memory Championships

I turned on ABC's 20/20 and saw a segment on the U.S. Memory Championships. They described the very techniques that I used to remember things - making them unique in an outrageous way. I recall an example: The capitol of Louisiana; I remembered seeing a girl named Louisana batting some rouge. Also, an Ark sawing a little rock on a can. Dumb huh? But will you remember it now?

You can apply this technique to many things. I did it mainly because my dad didn't want to give me a ride to or from school and I had to walk. I didn't want to carry the books home so I memorized the work at school, and did the homework in class so I would have to carry as little home as possible!
